On April 1st, we had the privilege of experiencing a very special visit at the residential and care facility of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity. With great anticipation and heartfelt connection, the residents, staff, and sisters from the convent awaited Archbishop Josef Grünwidl, who personally honored us with his presence that day. The visit was a moving moment for everyone and was received with great joy.

The Archbishop greeted each resident personally. The exchange was characterized by appreciation, attentiveness, and genuine interest. Afterwards, we celebrated a joint devotion, during which the Archbishop touched our hearts with his interpretation of the Gospel according to John (19:25–27) and offered encouragement and solace with his words. We concluded the contemplative ceremony with his blessing.

During a simple communal dinner – delicious pancakes were served – the exchange continued in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. After the meal, the Archbishop visited the sisters in the convent and took time to view the Restituta exhibition.

For all of us, this visit was a fulfilling and wonderful afternoon – marked by encounter, joy, and strengthening.
