June 24, 2025, was a very special day for the upper-level students from Maria Regina High School, where I teach Catholic Religion: As part of an excursion, they had the opportunity to visit the Convent of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Love and the Franziskus Hospital Margareten.

The program included the following highlights:

• Convent tour with insight into the life of the Sisters
• Aging with Vitality: The Sisters’ Nursing Ward
• Visit to the Restituta Museum “Faith Against Nazi Violence”
• A look behind the scenes of a modern hospital
• Hands-on Operating Room Experience: Try Endoscopy Yourself
• Refreshments and Discussion

A very special thank you goes to Sister Birgit Dorfmair, Sister Hilda Daurer, Sister Monikka Aliyas, Senior Physician Dr. Wolfgang Tillinger and his Endo-Team, Ms. Sanela Siebert, Ms. Sandy Preissack, and Ms. Cornelia Guldner, who significantly contributed to the success of this day.
