We were completely surprised and saddened to receive the news today that our dear Fr. Josef Bürstlinger, hospital chaplain at the Franziskus Spital Margareten and house priest of the Order Sisters, has passed away in the Klinik Favoriten.
As an order priest, he was a member of the community of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales (OSFS).
We are very shocked and saddened, but also deeply grateful for the good years we shared in our house.
We especially remember his open approach to people, his tireless commitment, his humor, the deep connection to God that he cultivated through daily Mass and early morning prayer hours, and was thus also a role model for us.
May the LORD reward him richly!
