The Restituta Museum Faith Against Nazi Violence showcases the life and faith testimony of Blessed Restituta – Helene Kafka – from her childhood and youth in the immigrant and working-class milieu of Brigittenau, her religious and professional life as a Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity and nurse, her courageous resistance against the Nazi regime, as well as her diverse veneration to this day. At the same time, the museum commemorates all people who were persecuted without mercy during this time for various reasons, but especially those 18 women and men who shared the same hour of death with Sr. Restituta under the guillotine on March 30, 1943.
